I need to get a decent lens for a Canon EOS 30d. Price range is from 100-200$? - canon slr lenses prices why spend more
I began the picture, then nothing need to be expensive. Can you give me a good target? I would be as low as possible, but still a decent target. This will be my first SLR camera.

Get the 30D with 17-85mm? If so, you could choose a 50mm f/1.8, f/1.4 or maybe used. They are very nice for situations with little light and depth of field. Moreover, if $ 200, the total budget for lenses, I pray that you save it with a 350D and the price difference of $ 550 for lenses to begin.
The 30D is a great camera, and are fully aware of its advantages over the 350D (in fact, I have discussed this issue in the last two questions), but it would be a shame to blow up the air company Keller glass.

This objective will be interested in good performances in low light and is very strongits meaning. (The other objectives are acute when the "stop down" a little, which means that there will be far too easy) and very cheap. The only drawback is that it is a priority. (Non-zoom), the period may indeed many photographers recommend that you start with the aim anyway. I personally think it is a bit limited for a goal, but a great addition to any lens included in the kit.
